Graphene Desktop by c55inator Graphene Desktop by c55inator
I've been working on customizing my "desktop", so that it feels cleaner and more unified. For the screenshot, I cleaned up my dock and emptied my menubar.

I'm using:
-An script to move any files that are on my desktop into a separate folder whenever I login.
-A custom Dock
-A custom wallpaper
-A custom desktop-level Bowtie theme
-Modified Spotlight
-modified Dock Icons

I don't know if any of these modifications are worth releasing, but please let me know what you think!

How did you modify the spotlight / get the contextual menu to highlight black?

I used Themepark, a free mac program that lets you view and edit your mac's system-theme files, essentially allowing you to theme almost anything. I replaced the menu and search backgrounds with custom [black] ones to give it that look.

Hope that explains it!

PSD version of what, my friend? This is a screenshot of my mac, not a mockup. Please be more specific.

No; it is a single layer. It is multiple layered gradients with a dithering effect.

You can download the jpg version of the wallpaper, as well as the Bowtie theme, at [link]
